Bee Happy is a surreal short film about a couple of worker ‘bees’ who decide they’re no longer happy with the daily drudgery.

Colour Grade

I was responsible for the colour grade for this film. In the below stills you can see the final result compared with the ungraded (rec709) footage. 

Working with the director, I iterated a stylistic approach that we thought matched the slightly oppressive, pseudo-cheerful feel of the characters’ situation, whilst complimenting the 70’s cafe look implemented by the production design.
